Well this story starts a while ago. Boone one day complained that his heart hurt???? What do you mean my your heart hurting? The only way I knew a heart hurt is when someone special breaks it.
Well come to find out that every time he did vigorous activities he heart would work overtime and it would hurt. After several doctor visits and a visit to Dr Saarel at Primary Children's we found out that Boone had a condition called "SUPRAVENTRICULAR TACHYCARDIA". When I heard that word it sounded to me like "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". Any way wha
t they explained to us is that he had an extra little electroid sorta thing in his heart that made it go vrooom! So Dr. Saarel told us of a procedure they could do to cure this. We went ahead and schedule the surgery for January 8th. Boone was pretty nervous going in there that early morning. He just about passed out after they put the IV in his hands. But with quick thinking we hurry and laid him down on a gurney and got him feeling a little better.
To make a long story short he went in for the procedure and 5 hours later they beeped us letting us know he was done and now in recovery. We were so glad to hear this. It makes you a little nervous when they are doing surgery on your son's heart in the dark. (ha ha) They really do!! Honest!
Any way he had to wait there for 5 hours after the surgery, he had to pee and eat something and then we could go home. He is now home and doing well. In fact, he went to school two days after the surgery and played soccer just 5 days after the surgery. Looks like Boone is going to live!!
