Tuesday with Dane

Today was the last full day with Dane. He and I spent the day shopping for last minute items, packing and repacking, washing clothes and last minute phone calls to friends. Later that night Dane started getting calls from old girl friends wanting to come over and have one last hug before he was set apart as an official "Missionary".

We went later around 8:00pm to meet with the President Lefler to have Dane set apart. We had Shane and his family and Mikey and Matt Powell, Cynjon Longman and then of course the family there to see Dane set apart. President Lefler gave Dane a wonderful blessing and told him that after this moment there would be change in him to where he would change from the things of the world and become a missionary for the Lord, that he would appreciate all that his familiy has done for him (this part I liked), that he would be able to open his mouth and speak with the people of Oklahoma and spead the gospel to those that are looking for the truth. It was a really wonderful blessing.

Later Dane's friends came over and spent as much time as they could with him before he left. Here is the last picture of the friends that night.
