Scout Camp

Ryan and I and Jeff Magnusson had the "privilege" of going and picking up the boys from scout camp. After finding out it was a 4 hour drive to mineral bottom on the Green River I wasn't thinking of it as much of a privilege. But I had never been to Green River so we took it on as a new adventure. After stopping in at Green River for a "quick" bit to eat at the local Burger King we headed down to get the boys. The picture below is the top of the road that we had to scale down in the trucks to the bottom of the Green River.
If you look real close you will see Jeff's truck scaling down the side of the cliffs in his "ivory" truck and yes there is a road there.
Once again Jeff's truck scaling down the cliffs. Above him there is a winding road but you can't see it. It all blends into the side of the cliffs.

At last we get to the bottom with waiting boys. They were so ready to come home. After fighting off the mosquitos for several days they were happy to see the calvary coming into get them.

Boone wouldn't take a hat or sunscreen (you know they are tough). You can see that he got a little sunburned on the trip but had lots of fun. These are memories they never forget. Thanks Corry and Nick for taking our boys on such memorable trips.

Boone's poor face. You forgot to mention meeting Ms. Green River. Wish I could have met her too. Happy Birthday.
