Update on Elder Smith

We got an email from Dane on Monday. He thought for sure he was being transferred because this has been his only area he has been in. He has been there for three months now. But when the call came from Pres. Gee, He told Dane that he is staying put. So, Dane is still at the same address and will have a new companion. We don't know who that is yet but I am sure by next week we will.
Dane spent a day last week with the Bishop of his ward. He seems to be there a lot. But instead of just eating there they went out to the rodeo arena and Dane helped the bishop's boy saddle up the horses. Dane is kinda sad that he can't get on one. He said that he sure misses riding and being able to do those things. It makes he real home sick. But he enjoys the country life that is out there.
Dane came across a huge frog the other day on the road. They stopped and looked at it he said it was about 20lbs and the head was about the size of two fists. They kicked it and off it hopped. He seems to come across of a lot of small wildlife out there such as armadillo, frogs, snakes, turtles. Some become pets for a day or two.
Dane is enjoying the missionary work and loves the people out there. The ward members are really the key to the missionary work. The ward has stepped up lately in helping them get some contacts and they have seen some success from that.

Im suprised Dane didn't keep the frog and give it some weird frog name. I am glad he is doing so well.
