PREDATOR PROBLEMS

You may know that we are chicken lovers. A couple years ago we received five cute little baby chickens on our door step. (If you don't know the story remind me to tell you about it someday) We have grown to love these five little chickens over two years. In fact they have become family. Then in the morning as I went to let the chickens out in the morning I noticed that the dog food can had been knocked over, I stood it up. The next day the same thing and then the next. I am a slow learner I finally figured out that we had some kind of predator. We figured it must be a racoon so we went to Cal Ranch and bought a coon trap. We set it up and it took us a few days to figure out how to catch something other than our dog. But I was so surprised one morning to go out there and see this huge raccoon in the trap.
Well the boys killed the raccoon and Dane and his friend Brad skinned it, don't ask me what they are going to do with it now. Now I hope it doesn't have any friends. Now they sure look cute and the neighbor kids had to come and look at it but let me tell you he would just as soon rip your head off as look at you.
